Hello, fantastic Drag Queens and Drag Kings! 💖✨ If you love your art, want to push boundaries, and at the same time become part of a community that celebrates you and your creativity – then read on! At PrideMerch.de, we invite you to participate in our exciting project.

We are looking for brave Drag Queens and Drag Kings who are interested in participating in our photo shoots or even signing up for our drag competitions. And the best part? Participation is free! It's not a one-off event, but an investment in what we hope will be a long-term collaboration where both you and we can only win. Let's create art together that changes the world.

Who we are: More than a shop – a passion project! PrideMerch.de is part of the non-profit association Queer Cities e.V. Our motivation? We passionately advocate for LGBTIQ+ rights and embody inclusion: Our team actively integrates queer people with disabilities. With this project, we combine your drag art with our social commitment – for a more flamboyant and colorful world.

Ready? Let's drag it up!

Why you should join us: The benefits are unbeatable!

Before we go into detail, let's make it clear: Your participation is a win-win situation. We invest time, technology, and support as starting capital so that you and we can benefit in the long term. No costs for you, but a real chance to boost your reach. Here are the highlights:

Synergy effect: Together we are stronger

Imagine: The powerful energy of your drag art – combined with professional photography of a special kind, an established merch shop, and the mission of a non-profit association for equality and diversity. This creates something that goes far beyond the individual: a synergy that drives all participants forward.

Advantages especially for you as a Drag Queen / Drag King

  • More visibility through your uniqueness
Your art stands out through individuality. We focus on your unique qualities to position you as an unmistakable figure in the drag scene. With professional photos and targeted PR, we help you secure your own place in the industry.
  • Drag as a recognized art form
We emphasize that behind your performance lies many hours of work, creativity, and expertise. Through our collaboration, we highlight the complex craftsmanship of your art and help to establish it as a serious art form.
  • Photos that show more than glamour
Of course, glamour and sex appeal are part of it – but they are not everything. We also photograph you in moments that are rarely captured otherwise: the concentrated facial expression before the performance, the distortion in the expression, the absurdity, the irony, the emotion.
  • New opportunities for bookings
We create a professional profile for you that event organizers, clients, or interested parties can access through our platform. This opens up new performance opportunities and collaboration chances.
  • Part of a supportive community
You are part of a community of drag artists who inspire and strengthen each other. Together, we work towards more respect and recognition for our art.

And that's not all: In the long term, we are building a loyal community that supports each other. Your participation is your entry point.

Why drag needs to be recognized as art – and how we contribute to it

Drag is more than entertainment – it is a powerful art form that mixes gender roles, questions social norms, and celebrates identities. Historically, drag dates back to ancient theater, where it served as a rebellion against conventions, and its political roots were impressively demonstrated at the Stonewall Uprising in 1969, when drag queens like Sylvia Rivera fought on the front lines against police violence. Today, inspired by shows like "RuPaul's Drag Race", it is gaining recognition, but prejudices still exist: It is often dismissed as "just fun", ignoring its political depth.

For us, drag is performance art in its purest form: a mixture of acting, dance, fashion, and make-up that uses body transformations to convey messages. We fight discrimination by incorporating themes such as inclusion and equality into our shoots. Our role? We document your art through high-quality productions, cooperate with art institutions, and promote marginalized voices. Together, we make drag socially acceptable – and you are the stars!

Our project: Where we come from and where we are going

We are proud of what we have already achieved and full of ideas for the future. PrideMerch.de is more than a shop – it is a platform for queer art and activism. Here is an overview of our current status:

  • Merch & Fan Articles: We sell unique products inspired by drag artists, such as posters, art prints, and T-shirts. Everything is distributed through PrideMerch.de and supports our non-profit association.
  • Special Photo Shoots: Four times a year, we organize sessions in our studio in Bremen. In our first shoot with stars like Jolina Wings, Luna Mattel, Gina Petrolia, and Miss Joyce DeLone, we proved that drag doesn't just have to be sexy – it can be provocative, bizarre, and profound. We start with societal norms and want to show you in scenes that make you think.
  • Networks & Community: Our drag artists collaborate, share ideas, and build connections. We organize regular meetings, plan events and competitions where you can showcase your skills.
  • Public Relations & Events: Everything doesn't just stay online – we do PR that lasts, and organize events that are fun and meaningful. Our ideas are amazing: From thematic performances to workshops that teach drag as art.

We are a team full of passion, and we are looking for you to make it even bigger. Our goal? To create a sustainable basis where all participants – from you as artists to us at PrideMerch – can grow and benefit.

What we are looking for: Are you the brave ones we need?

We don't want standard queens or kings who just shine and pose. We are looking for true artists who are ready to show themselves, get involved, and step out of their comfort zone. Here's what you should bring:

  • Courage and willingness to experiment: Are you ready for bizarre, provocative scenes? Anything but boring or one-sidedly sexy. We want diversity, depth, and surprises.
  • Endurance and team spirit: Our shoots can be intense (think 12-hour days), but there's a lot of fun and laughter. Enjoy working with others and getting stuck in – even if it gets dirty.
  • Interest in long-term cooperation: You shouldn't just be there for one shoot. We develop merchandise from your ideas, and you help us promote it. In return, we open doors to competitions and events for you.
  • Respect for our mission: As a non-profit organization, we advocate for queer people with disabilities. Appreciation for inclusion is a must.

What we DO NOT want:

  • No one-off appearances: If you're only in it for the fame, that's not a fit. We build partnerships.
  • No diva attitudes: We work as equals – respect and openness are essential.
  • No ambiguities: Communicate your boundaries in advance so everyone is happy.

If you think: "That's me!", then you are exactly right. We are looking for Drag Queens and Drag Kings who want to be part of our vision: to create art with a social conscience.
