PrideMerch.de By Team Behinderte offers a new, very special delivery option: Starting now, we're attempting to deliver orders personally – specifically in Bremen and the surrounding area. But what does "surrounding area" mean to us? It's not the zip code that counts, but rather the connection to public transport . We deliver not only within Bremen, but also to the inner city areas of Wilhelmshaven, Verden, Bremerhaven , and even Hamburg – provided the bus and train connections are available.
Our team consists of queer people with disabilities who are passionate about creating an inclusive Pride shop with organizational talent. Deliveries are deliberately made by bus, train, and tram—personally and sustainably.
Not always immediately – but always with heart
Since we, as a small, diverse team, can't be everywhere every day, personal deliveries take place on fixed days . For example, Bremerhaven is scheduled four times a week , and Hamburg four days a week . The idea for this special delivery concept comes from Thorsten Höller , the initiator of PrideMerch and a self-proclaimed public transport fan:
“This way I can combine two hobbies at once.”
For Marcel Wölk , part of our team, delivery means much more than just a delivery:
"Personal delivery is a great way for us to get to know our customers. But more importantly, it also allows our customers to meet us—the queer disabled people behind the online shop—in person."
These encounters are not only enriching for the customers , but also for the team itself. Tim Djuren , who also works at PrideMerch, sums it up :
"For me, personal delivery is a great way to show others that I can do my part – despite my disability. It's about making it visible that we aren't 'incapable,' but that with the right framework, we can make a real difference. Every delivery is a small sign to me: We belong, we can participate – and we do so with joy and pride!"
It's precisely these experiences that boost the self-esteem of the entire team. Because every successful delivery, every smile, and every positive feedback demonstrates that we're not just part of the process—we're actively shaping it. This creates recognition, encourages us, and empowers us to continue on our path.
Sustainable, visible, human
This form of delivery is not only a matter close to our hearts, but also a contribution to climate protection . We consciously avoid cars and delivery services and instead rely on existing public transport – thus reducing our carbon footprint and simultaneously making queer, disabled people visible in everyday life .
