From now on, you can also find official Pride items from CSD Verden in the PrideMerch shop – colorful, loud, political, and with a heart for the region. With every purchase of these products, you directly support the young organization: A portion of the proceeds goes directly to CSD Verden eV to enable further events, awareness-raising, and community work in Verden and the surrounding area.
CSD Verden: Young, committed, visible
The Verden Pride is a true passion project: In September 2024, the team took to the streets for the first time – with a clear message for diversity, visibility, and acceptance. The association was officially founded in June 2025, a bold step toward sustainable queer visibility in rural areas.
Young CSDs and smaller organizations in particular often do impressive work with very limited resources. This makes it all the more important that they receive support from the community – through networking, visibility, and financial resources. This is precisely where our cooperation comes in.
PrideMerch – More than just Pride Merch
Since its inception, PrideMerch by Team Behinderte has stood for inclusion, visibility, and solidarity – especially with queer people with disabilities. Our products are not only an expression of Pride, but also a statement for accessibility and participation.
10% of our proceeds go directly to our cooperation partners, such as CSD Verden eV. The remainder is used to maintain our inclusive non-profit "Team Behinderte," which provides a place for queer people with disabilities to meet, exchange ideas, and plan their projects together, such as participating in various CSDs in Northern Germany. In some cases, they organize a bus for people with disabilities that follows behind the CSD demonstrations, so that no CSD leaves anyone behind.
Together for more visibility – even outside of major cities
The collaboration with CSD Verden eV is a logical step for us: We believe in the power of small initiatives and the importance of queer visibility even outside of major cities. With every purchase of CSD Verden merchandise in the PrideMerch shop, you help strengthen precisely this visibility.
Why queer visibility is so important in rural areas
Especially in rural areas, there is often a lack of queer meeting places, safe spaces, and public visibility. Many queer people grow up in isolation, without role models, without interaction – often accompanied by invisibility or even rejection. This is why rainbow initiatives such as queer get-togethers, youth groups, or local Pride teams are enormously important. They not only create community but also send a strong message: "You are not alone – you are welcome." Such initiatives offer support, promote self-confidence, and actively contribute to social change. When Pride events like the one in Verden emerge, it is more than just an event – it is a step toward a better quality of life and participation for queer people, even outside of major cities.
